Case study

Thank you for all of the extra work you have done over the course of the site change overs. I have been able to give you an idea and you have made the idea happen, [we] have really been impressed with the results.

Network Engineer WCIC and WBGL

New Life Media Network operates two radio stations – WBGL & WCIC – which cover two-thirds of the state of Illinois and some of Indiana, Iowa and Missouri. This well-known radio station needed its websites upgraded with additional functionality and consistently maintained.

Each radio station needed user-friendly websites that could be easily maintained and updated. Without the ease of updating, the stations could not pursue their community-oriented programs which required users to participate through the website. As a community based and focused radio station group, it was key for communities to feel like websites were not sterile but reflected the needs of each community.

Rubico came into the backend of the sites and transferred the site from CMS (Joomla) to WordPress. The team had to transition all the old data to the new site. Also, they created additional pages for marketing and community engagement.

The new websites allowed WCIC and WBGL to engage the community through the web and radio. Also, the easy-to-manage backend means each station could create new pages and update old ones with the agility needed to reflect the needs of the community.
