Edward's Story

Edward Snyder owns Snyder’s Crop Service LLC, an agricultural services business. He’s spent his career in the field, not behind a keyboard,thus, the knows the operation inside and out, but, he’s never been the technical type. When he realized the tools available to run his business just weren’t cutting it, he didn’t wait around for a development team. He built the thing himself.

Using Lovable, an AI-app-building tool, Edward put together a working platform called Agrete in a matter of weeks, something that would normally take months with a traditional dev team. It pulls together several outside systems and runs some fairly complex calculations behind the scenes to keep his operations running smoothly. He built it because he knew exactly what his business needed, and honestly, it worked well too!

The Question No AI Tool Could Answer

Once it was up and running, Edward had a new question: Would it hold up with real customers and real traffic? He couldn’t answer that alone, and neither could AI. That’s when he brought in Rubico, not to start over, but to make sure what he’d built could stand on its own.

The Challenge

Edward did everything right for the stage he was at. Building solo with Lovable, he compressed months of product discovery into a fraction of the time a traditional dev cycle would've taken, and ended up with something that actually worked, without an engineering team, without the usual costs, without the usual wait.

How Edward and Rubico worked together

Rubico conducted an in-depth code and architecture audit across eight domains, with architecture, security, and scalability among the areas most directly tied to whether Agrete could operate as a real, business-critical system:

Module boundaries, separation of concerns, state management, and coupling assessed for how far the structure could extend before resisting change.

Security
Auth and session handling, privilege boundaries, secret management, and data exposure assessed against the risk of holding real customer data.

Scalability
Concurrent load behavior, query patterns, caching, and throughput ceilings assessed against real commercial volume, not just demonstration volume.

Findings were risk-rated by likelihood and consequence, then sequenced into the Accelerated Architecture Framework, a prioritized roadmap issuing a keep, refactor, or rebuild verdict per component, rather than a blanket rebuild that would have discarded months of validated product intent.
